The Mile High Fourth of July is presented by Arrow Electronics and offers Denver’s best Fourth of July close-proximity experience with fireworks launched from inside the bowl at Sports Authority Field. The fireworks are paired with a music video tribute on the stadium’s brand new 220 feet long by 40 foot high THUNDERVISION screen.
"We are excited and looking forward to continuing the tradition of hosting Mile High Fourth of July here at the Stadium, Director of Sales and Marketing Ted Tseng said. “Each and every year we believe we offer the best post-game fireworks in town and this year won't be any different, as the show will be even greater as we unveil the brand new Thundervision scoreboard."
The close-proximity fireworks show has become one of the city’s premiere events and this year promises to be a display to be remembered with the full-capacity unveiling of the $30 million stadium upgrades that were installed at Sports Authority Field over the past few months.
Produced by Zambelli International, the post-game fireworks will feature the latest in close proximity pyrotechnics designed and utilized with the utmost confidence in both indoor and outdoor venues including rooftops, stadiums, theaters, amusement parks and convention centers.
Since their inaugural season in 2006, the Outlaws have set a professional lacrosse attendance record with each Independence Day Celebration game. Last July 4, the Outlaws set an attendance record for the sixth-straight year as 30,128 fans watched the team defeat the Ohio Machine 17-13.
The team hopes to set another attendance record this year and has been promoting its #31K initiative on social media encouraging fans to support the team’s efforts to top last year’s attendance mark and set yet another record.
A total of 188,587 fans have come through the turnstiles at Sports Authority Field for the six games that have been played to date. The increased fan support has translated onto the field, as is demonstrated by the team’s 5-2 record on Independence Day Celebration games.
Tickets for the game start at just $20 and can be purchased online here or by visiting the Sports Authority Field Box office from 9-5pm Monday-Wednesday or starting at noon on Thursday. Please note every fan over the age of 2 must have a ticket to the game.
