DENVER –The Denver Outlaws have added Jon Cohen, who has been the team’s assistant general manager for the past three seasons, to the coaching staff, the club announced on Thursday. Cohen will continue to work as the Outlaws’ assistant general manager in addition to his assistant coaching duties.
Cohen will help the coaching staff with substitutions as well as advance scouting work.
“The Denver Outlaws welcome Jon Cohen to our coaching staff for the 2014 season,” General Manager Tony Seaman said. “We believe that he is an outstanding addition to Head Coach B.J. O'Hara's staff. His technical lacrosse skills speak for themselves and his organizational skills are second to none.”
Cohen finished his third season as the team’s assistant general manager in 2013, helping with a club that became the first in MLL history to finish a season undefeated. Denver set 21 team records and 10 MLL records in 2013 on its way to become the first team in MLL history and just the fourth team in North American major pro sports to finish a regular season undefeated.
