Hempstead, N.Y. – After delayed and cancelled flights, the Outlaws finally arrived to James M. Shuart Stadium as a full squad just hours before faceoff.
From the beginning of the game it was a fight for the lead but by the end, Long Island was able to pull away to win the game 14-8.
Outlaws goalie Jesse Schwartzman and Lizards goalie Drew Adams had their share of shots and saves in the first half. Schwartzman had 12 shots on goal with seven saves while Adams had 11 shots on goal with six saves.
During the first half of the game, Jordan McBride led the Outlaws with three goals. McBride scored two of his three goals in the first quarter, getting his third just in time to tie the game at 5-5 before halftime.
Returning from halftime it was Jeremy Sieverts to attack first. Sieverts got the first goal of the third quarter, his second goal of the game and 16
th goal of the season.
But it was the Lizards who came to attack in the fourth quarter taking the lead and ending with it.
