DENVER — Attackman Brendan Mundorf earned the Week 6 MLL Offensive Player of the Week Award, the league announced on Monday.

Mundorf scored four goals and added four assists to finish with eight points in Denver's 15-7 win at Hamilton. His eight points tied for the third most in team history for a single game and his four assists tied for second in team single-game annals. Mundorf leads the league in goals (14), assists (9) and points (23), despite missing one game due to the World Indoor Championships.

The weekly award is the fifth of Mundorf’s career and second of the season. His five career MLL Weekly Awards are tied for the most in franchise history with goalie Jesse Schwartzman. Mundorf also won the MLL Offensive Player of the Week Award in Week 1, after setting a franchise record with 10 points (6 G, 4 A) vs. Hamilton on May 14.

“Mundorf is having a special season,” said Head Coach Tom Slate. “He’s having a special year. He is at the top of his game – and that is not just on the field. It shows through his preparation during the week. He sets the standard in the locker room for the rest of the team.

“I know he is not interested in individual awards – He wants to win a championship. He’s doing everything he possibly can to help the team succeed. He had had some of the best ground balls that I’ve seen in a long time last weekend.”

The Outlaws return to action at home vs. Long Island at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Fans have the opportunity for a private meet-and-greet with Denver Broncos legend Terrell Davis, who will be on hand to autograph bottles of his award-winning barbeque sauce and shoot the game’s ceremonial first shot. The team will also celebrate its first-annual Motorsports Day with an auto show, live music and many other activities from 12-6 p.m. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Colorado Adaptive Sports Foundation (CASF). For details about Mortorsports Day and CASF, visit
