Dr. Phil Stull is the Official Orthopedic Doctor for the Denver Outlaws Lacrosse team. Specializing in Sports medicine & general orthopedics, Dr. Stull graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. He received his medical degree from Yale University in 1988, and then completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the New York Orthopedic Hospital, Columbia Medical Center in New York City, graduating in 1993. He then received specialized training in sports medicine by completing a year-long fellowship at the University of Colorado and Aspen Valley Hospital in Aspen, Colorado. He has had experience treating professional, collegiate, high school, and all levels of recreational athletes. He has published extensively in the orthopedic literature including articles based on original research.
Colorado Orthopedic Consultants is Denver’s premiere sports medicine group. Comprised of seven physicians, Colorado Orthopedic Consultants treats problems with the Hips, Knees, Hand & Wrist, Elbows, Foot & Ankle, Spine & Shoulders, along with helping patients rehab at their on-site physical therapy clinic. There are three convenient practices in the greater Denver metro area (Englewood, Aurora and Littleton).

Dr. Mike Lipnick is the official Primary Care Physician for the Denver Outlaws lacrosse team. He is a Denver native born and raised in Colorado. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bethany College in 1997. Dr. Lipnick recieved his Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas and then returned to Colorado and completed a Family Medicine residency at Poudre Valley in Fort Collins. After training he did full-scope Family Medicine on the Eastern Plains of Colorado for 5 years. Dr. Lipnick is a partner at Ponderosa Family Physicians in Aurora, CO and is passionate about preventive medicine, sports medicine, and pediatrics. He lives in Aurora with his wife and two children.

Dr. David Shapiro, of Shapiro Family Chiropractic, has been in private practice in the Denver area since 1998. He is the official chiropractor for the Denver Outlaws and has been the chiropractor for the Colorado State University men’s and women’s lacrosse teams for the past two years. He enjoys working with athletes of all levels.
Dr. Shapiro has received extensive post-graduate education and certification in extremity adjusting (ankles, knees, wrist, shoulders, etc.) to improve athletic performance, help reduce injury and aid in quicker recovery when injury does occur. He has also received advanced training and certification in pregnancy and pediatrics, soft tissue injury and whiplash trauma. His certification includes the Webster Technique, a specific technique used to facilitate a healthier pregnancy and birth. His services include custom orthotics to reduce foot pain and improve body mechanics.
Dr. Shapiro resides in Denver with his wife and two children, ages 3 and 7. He is passionate about chiropractic care and overall health for the entire family. Shapiro Family Chiropractic is conveniently located in Denver.
Head Athletic Trainer
Maggie Yates has been with the Outlaws since their inaugural season in 2006. She has been an ATC since 2003 and is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (2001). Maggie was most recently a trainer at Chaparral High School, and has been part of the medical team for the Winter X Games. Maggie is a native of Denver and graduated from Douglas County High School in 1995. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University in 1999 where she also competed in swimming. She currently resides in Parker, CO where she lives with her husband and two daughters.

My name is Anna Castellano. I am a sports massage therapist with a background specializing in orthopedic, sports and deep tissue massage. I have a degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Oregon State University and a license to practice massage through the Colorado Board of Massage Therapists; as well as a National license. I have been in practice for six years; with initial training from Oregon School of Massage. I attended many strong continuing education classes such as KinesioTape, Sports Massage, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, etc. to expand and improve my knowledge and techniques to better serve my clients. My professional experiences include but not limited to working at the Prefontaine Classic, the 2008 and 2012 USA Track and Field Olympic Trials and I work for USA Curling throughout the year. On a more regular basis I work with numerous athletes as well as the general public. The goal for what I do is to help athletes achieve their optimal level of performance during and after training. For people who see me and do not participate in sport, my goal is to help them maintain good physical health. My overall objective to what I do is simple, I want to help people feel and perform their best whether it is another day at work or the event of a lifetime. I look forward to working with you!
