Quickly Anthony Kelly is a long time Ohio native and returns to the state after spending last season with the Rochester Rattlers. Kelly played four years at Ohio State and is the only player in school history to lead the team in ground balls all four years of his collegiate career. After he graduated in 2006 Kelly played with the MLL franchise L.A Riptide. As a rookie, Kelly made an immediate impact winning 132 faceoffs and scoring 6 goals. After two more years with the Riptide, Kelly played with the Chicago Machine and the Rochester Rattlers. On October 5th, Kelly was traded to the Ohio Machine along with Greg Bice, Brett Garber, and Stefan Schroder. 2011 was Kelly’s first year in Rochester. Kelly adjusted quickly to the new city, scooping up four groundballs in the Rattlers first game of the season. Kelly finished the season with 41 groundballs and 128 faceoff wins. Pro 2012: Anthony Kelly played in 6 games for the Ohio Machine and recorded a season high 21 faceoff wins against the Charlotte Hounds (5/12). Kelly had a season high 7 groundballs against the Rochester Rattlers (5/19) and was 10-16 at the faceoff against the Denver Outlaws (6/9).
