The Denver Outlaws faced a talented University of Denver roster in the inaugural Colorado Lacrosse Showcase today and came from behind to win 15-13. The rally was accomplished after a four-goal run to end the game. The event drew 1,575 fans to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium at the University of Denver.

Drew Westervelt (UMBC) led the Outlaws with seven goals and Brendan Mundorf (UMBC) added three goals and an assist, while Lou Braun (Johns Hopkins), Shane Koppens (Loyola), Dan Hardy (Syracuse), Jeff Sonke (North Carolina) and Matt Brown (Denver) all found the back of the net as well.

Serving as the defensive coach during the first two periods of action, Brown then came out of the intermission dressed in his No. 16 Outlaws jersey, providing fresh legs and a another scoring option.

The day also featured a well-received clinic with Denver Outlaws players, Outlaws Head Coach and General Manager Brian Reese and University of Denver coach Bill Tierney.
