DENVER – Attackman Brendan Mundorf earned MLL Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring six goals with two assists in Denver’s 16-12 win vs. Rochester on Saturday, June 16. All six of his goals came before the fourth quarter as the Outlaws built a 15-9 lead entering the final frame..
The six-goal effort was the third of Mundorf’s career and was one goal shy of the Outlaws’ franchise record for a single game. Mundorf tied Matt Brown for the most six-goal games in team history. His eight total points tied for third-most in Outlaws annals and marked the fifth time he has surpassed the eight-point total for a game in his career, which is tops all-time among Outlaws.
The weekly award is the seventh of Mundorf’s career, tying him with goalie Jesse Schwartzman for the most weekly honors in franchise history.
Mundorf is the franchise’s leading scorer with 191 goals and 86 assists for 277 total points. This season he ranks second in goals (17) and points (30), while he is tied for third with 13 assists.
The award is the 28th overall player of the week award garnered by an Outlaw (13 Offensive Players of the Week / 9 Defensive Players of the Week / 6 Rookies of the Week).
