Tomorrow, July 1, Denver Outlaws Midfielder Max Seibald will be one of four Team USA members appearing on NBC’s TODAY Show to talk about the upcoming Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships.
Boston Cannons Midfielder Kevin Cassese, Machine Midfielder Matt Striebel, Team USA Head Coach Mike Pressler and Seibald will discuss Team USA’s chances of taking home gold in the World Championships with TODAY Show anchors Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry and Al Roker. Team USA will take part in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) All-Star Game, as they play the MLL All-Stars July 8 at Harvard Stadium. As the final exhibition match before the Championships July 15-24 in Manchester, England, Team USA looks to fine-tune their game and work out any last-minute kinks.
The Outlaws will have a total of nine players participating in the MLL All-Star Game. Midfielder Dan Hardy, Defender Matt Bocklet and Goalie Jesse Schwartzman will represent Denver on the All-Star team, while Seibald, Attackers Brendan Mundorf and Drew Westervelt, Defenders Lee Zink and Eric Martin and Goalie Adam Fullerton will all represent the Outlaws on Team USA. The nine Outlaws playing in the 2010 All-Star Game are the most players from a single MLL team participating in the event. The Outlaws have also taken over the Team USA roster, as the six Denver players are the most from a single MLL team, also.
The Outlaws host Denver’s only post-game fireworks show this Sunday, July 4, as they take on the Chesapeake Bayhawks at INVESCO Field @ Mile High, before the MLL All-Star game takes place July 8 at 5 p.m. MST in Boston, MA
