THIRD BOCKLET BROTHER MAKES OPENING-WEEK ROSTER FROM OPEN TRYOUTS

March 18, 2016
DENVER — The 2014 MLL Champion Denver Outlaws announced their opening week 25-man roster on Monday. After earning an invitation to training camp via Outlaws’ open tryouts, attackman  Mike Bocklet earned a spot on the Week 1 roster.

The eldest Bocklet joins younger brothers Matt and Chris on the 2015 roster. A 6-foot, 175-pound attack last played for MLL’s Long Island Lizards.

“For my past three years as GM of the Outlaws I have always loved the fact that we have the Bocklet brothers playing for us,” Outlaws General Manager  Tony Seaman said. “To watch them celebrate the championship last August was a very special moment.  Now we have three Bocklets!”

“Mike Bocklet completed a very successful open tryout which we held in March and then proved his value in our first training camp and again last weekend in New York as we completed our second training camp.  He can finish the ball as well as take on a pole.  We are excited and fortunate to have the Bocklets with us in Denver.”

The Outlaws open their 2015 campaign on the road at Boston. The contest begins at 3 p.m. MDT on Sunday, April 12.

Denver kicks off its home slate of the schedule Sunday, May 3 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The team will recognize their 2014 Major League Lacrosse Championship by raising a banner prior to the game.
