March 18, 2016
DENVER — The Denver Outlaws have acquired midfielders Bill McGlone and Jarrett Park from Rochester in exchange for the rights to Denver’s 2011 draftee Grant Catalino and the team’s 2012 fifth-round collegiate draft choice, the team announced on Wednesday.

McGlone played 10 games last season, netting 16 goals with five assists to finish with 22 points, which ranked in league’s top-25 for both goals and points. He is entering his sixth MLL season after playing with Chicago (2009-10), San Francisco (2008), Washington (2007-08) and Baltimore (2006). McGlone played three seasons (2007-09) in the NLL, tallying 22 goals, 18 assists and 179 loose balls in 42 career games. He earned All-American honors during his final three seasons at the University of Maryland. McGlone, who was drafted fifth overall by Baltimore in the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft, was born on April 24, 1984 in Swarthmore, Pa.

Park is entering his seventh MLL season, having played with Chicago (2009-10), Washington (2008), San Francisco (2006-08) and Boston (2005). He has totaled 30 goals, 26 assists and 170 ground balls during his MLL career. Park is in his sixth (2006-11) NLL season, where he currently plays for the Colorado Mammoth and has posted 21 goals and 29 assists in 57 career games. He attended Syracuse University, where he led the team in ground balls for three consecutive seasons. Park was drafted by Boston with the 18 th overall selection in the 2005 MLL Collegiate draft. He was born on Oct. 25, 1982 in Winfield, Ill.

The Outlaws selected Catalino 21 st overall in the 2011 MLL Collegiate draft. He currently plays attack for the University of Maryland and has scored 20 goals with eight assists on the season.

Quotes from Outlaws General Manager Brian Reese:

On Bill McGlone:

"Bill is a tremendous athlete and is a proven goal scorer in the MLL. He will provide us another left-handed scoring threat from the midfield as well as a guy that can play on both ends of the field."

On Jarrett Park:

"Jarrett is one of the fastest players in the league. He could really contribute on the defensive end and starting our transition. He is tough on ground balls and can help us earn some more possessions."
