DENVER — The Denver Outlaws have agreed to terms with eight players from last month’s open tryouts, it was announced on Monday.
Attackmen Grant Kaleikau, Cam Milligan and Ryan Thomas Muldoon, defenseman Patrick White, faceoff specialist Toma Tamura, goalie Kaisuke Iwamoto and midfielders Taylor Brooks and Forrest Lambert will be among the 40 players invited to training camp in April.
“We had two very successful tryouts in Orange County and in Colorado,” Assistant GM and Director of Player Personnel Jon Cohen said. “We took more guys than we ever had in the five years of doing open tryouts, and took at least one player from every position.
“We have had tremendous success with open tryouts in the past, with several of our active roster players coming from a tryout. We think this year is no exception and look forward to these guys making a positive difference in training camp and hopefully the regular season.”
Previous Outlaws players signed from open tryouts include midfielders Noah Molnar and Nick Tintle and former attackman Mike Bocklet. Molnar and Tintle have combined to play in 52 games for Denver as two of the team’s top defensive midfielders.
Training camp is slated for April. The final 25-man roster will be announced on April 16.
